How to approach upsc mains general studies papers?

UPSC aspirants please make sure of this before you go to mains exam?

Every one has dilemma How to prepare all 9 papers for mains? What is best time to prepare mains? Which coaching material should I refer for General studies paper 1,2,3,4?

Don't do this during perapration  of mains? 

1) I Request all aspirants don't hurry to buy mains materials for general studies.

2) don't neglect qualifying papers

3) Don't tense or panic  which areas need to be study.

4) Don't stress with over night studies take sleep in time. 

5) Don't hurry to write test series in online, better to take offline only.

Do this while mains Perparation?

1)Cover  optional syallabus daily. 

2) Check general studies syallabus by strengths and not weak

3) identify weak areas and pen down it

4) Maintain a small book for facts, quotes, reports etc

5) Never let any emotion come at your place while preparation. 

How to approach General studies paper 1,2,3,4

1) Always keep general studies syallabus with you. 

2) Divide the syallabus based on areas.

Approaching paper 3 syllabus :

Divide  syllabus in to six   parts entire syllabus 

1) Economy - 4Q

2)Agriculture -3Q

3)infrastructure -2Q

4) science and technology -4Q

5) Disaster management /Environment -4Q

6) security -2Q

Possiblities 

Now pen down syallabus each part carefully step by step. 

1)Economy : 

 *Aspirant should know each heading     of syallabus by common definition,   characteristics, observations, advantages and disvantages etc 

* Need to interlink current affairs as part of syallabus 

* Make one page note always holistically 

*finally read one magazine topics which you cover regularly  for prelims and mains. 

Note : 

*Always try make note with sub heading. You can't remeber every thing what you read in book, better to make sun heading, facts, indexes, etc

*Read question carefully and Question tag properly. 

*Daily write two optional questions and four general studies questions based on syallabus /papers topic by topic. 

* Don't let to master the  topic, be general student and arrange a Content in an organised way. 

*always try to learn techniques in answer Writing, with good educator. 

How to. Cover weak areas? 

Example :

1)History is vast subject to cover in mains, but use smart resources to cover up the syallabus. For instance make sure answer technique in answer Wrting of history so that it will make easy for you. Without knowing the event of history no one can attempt the answer but aspirants might be studied for prelims use the information in a fit for answer manner. 

SO what to do with weak areas is? 

1) Now depend on smart material inthe market 

2) Identify few areas and through  it? 

3) at least learn answer techniques to produce some content by using key methodologies.?

4) listen some audio clasesses.
